Last weekend I was lucky enough to photograph the wonderful B Family. Mom wanted a rustic country barn-feel to the session so we headed out to the Myrick Center. It was super cold that day, but in-between running for jackets and warm hugs, we managed to get some incredible shots. I really could have photographed them all day because they were so easy to work with and fabulous! I had a hard time narrowing down which images to put up here because I love them all. I know the mom is keeping these pictures a surprise for the holiday, but I hope she loves them all too!

I was so happy to welcome baby Maia, her parents, and her grandmother into my studio the other week. Coming all the way from Harrisburg, she obviously slept during the car ride, so I made sure to get some swaddled, awake shots and parent shots first. Then, it was time for another feeding and finally sleep! Look at all that hair!! And those squeezable cheeks!! Isn't she just the sweetest? I really love newborns, and when they are this adorable and perfect, it really gives me baby fever! Baby Emily was 9 days old when she came to see me at my studio, and she brought along her wonderful big sister Ava, mom, and dad. She was such a calm baby, had the most perfect skin, and really does look so much like her sister! Admittedly, after winter, fall is my least favorite season. Yes, I love Thanksgiving, Halloween candy, and all things pumpkin flavored, but I much prefer beautiful flowers, green trees and grass, blue skies, and warm air! With that being said, all these fall family sessions sometimes have me second guessing myself because of such bright reds, oranges, and browns, when I usually love my greens, blues, and neutrals. Take this beautiful family's photographs for example, my usual edits just weren't cutting it and I knew I needed a color pop to make sure I was adequately reflecting the brightness of the reds and oranges. So, I went through and redid my original edits and now they are perfect! The colors not only reflect the vividness of fall, but also reflect the bold personalities of these two adorable little girls! They were SOO much fun and definitely kept me on my toes! The sun was fading fast during this session but we were still able to get in a nice variety of locations and backgrounds and showcase the golden hour. Last week we had some unseasonably warm days and being a summer girl, I planned to enjoy every moment of them! So, even though our session wasn't scheduled until the end of the month, I asked Elizabeth if she would like to have their family session early, and thankfully she said yes. We met on Monday morning at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square, and even though most of the leaves had already fallen off, there was still enough color to get those bright reds, oranges, and yellows to shine through! Last Sunday I had the pleasure of walking around Longwood Gardens and photographing yet another lovely family. The two little boys, Connor and Evan, are adorable and look at their fabulous outfits! Mom sure knows how to coordinate clothes!! I love these colors! Connor definitely kept me on my toes and loved climbing and playing hide and seek in the trees. Isn't miss Olivia just the cutest?! I was so happy to have her and her mom come to my studio to take some pictures for them. Olivia was such a sweetheart and definitely a mommy's girl. |
