I just knew this baby was going to end up being a boy, and I couldn't be more thrilled for my friends, Jessica and Adam. Jess and I have been close since 6th grade, which was 22 years ago (wow, I feel OLD!). She announced her pregnancy to me by filling out my contact form for a newborn session, and when I got the email, I literally SQUEALED with excitement and immediately called her! Baby Luke was the BEST sleeper and I loved each and every snuggle with him. I cannot wait to see him again, but no more posing, I just want to hold him! Disclaimer Jess & Adam, I may not give him back... ;)

It's a GIRL!!! Meet McKinleigh Anne, born on October 28th. Weighing in at 9lbs, she is much smaller than her sister was at birth, but still has the most adorable chubby cheeks ever!!! And those rolls!! She was AMAZING for her session this morning, allowing me to pose her any which way without a peep. Sorry she was up for you all last night mom and dad, but she slept amazingly this morning! ;) Big sister Hadleigh, who you may remember from the shoot I did of her and her daddy, the police officer, is clearly smitten with the new baby! I can tell they are going to be the best of friends growing up and Hadleigh is going to be a great protector! Ever since I ended up with a herniated disk in my neck, I decide I would no longer be lugging so many props around for newborn sessions. Luckily this momma was totally okay with that and wanted a more lifestyle approach anyway. I never know what to except when I travel, and this was a pleasant surprise! Mom has decorated their house beautifully and all the natural light coming in was AMAZING! A photographer's dream! Not only that, but the girls were ADORABLE and WONDERFUL, mom is stunningly beautiful, and a 1 year old that cooperates, - more dreams come true! I'm pretty sure that had it not been for my daughter's doctor appointment, I probably could have stayed all day and photographed these cuties. Welcome to the world baby Camryn! You are SO loved already! Yesterday morning adorable Isabelle, her fabulous big sister Sofia, and wonderful parents came into the studio for Isabelle's newborn session. She was ready to go and was a great little model! Mom even brought in a bunch of her own props from one of my favorite vendors - The Tiny Blessings Boutique. Check out some sneak peeks from the session below. Every newborn session I am prepared with props and a flow that I follow. However, I never know what the baby entering my door is going to feel like doing on any given day. When sweet Todd came in this morning, half awake, I was a bit worried. But, after a few minutes of snuggling him in the warm room with both the sound machine and baby shusher going, he fell into a deep sleep and ROCKED his session! Todd is one loved little boy, and I know he and big brother Oliver are going to be great buddies! You can already tell how much Oliver adores his new baby. And, mom and dad too! ;) Pants, wrap, and bonnets from The Tiny Blessings Boutique Curly felted layers from Ababa Baby Props I am so happy to call this family, friends! I love everything about them and am so thankful they drove hours to come see me this morning for a shoot. They are all beautiful, inside and out, and tons of fun! I hope our kids can grow up close despite the distance between us. I'm also glad both sets of grandparents were involved because when Eli and Owen are older, they will cherish each and every picture they have with their family members. Although our session was rained out last Thursday due to the weather, we were able to reschedule this for Labor Day, and it definitely made for a fun morning! Little Charlie is celebrating turning 3, and preparing to be a big sister! Her brother Jack is due at the end of the month. We met at Springton Manor farm, which really has some gorgeous land, and a variety of animals for the kids. The goats were SUPER friendly, one even smiled right at the camera! Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful couple from Philadelphia as they prepare for their baby girl. The golden hour light (<3 those natural sun flares!!) was simply perfect, and they were so easy-going and sweet, that it just made for amazing and enjoyable session! I cannot wait to photograph their little girl, who is due in about 4 weeks! I know she will be as beautiful as her momma and surrounded with love! Mallory was another one of my superstar July babies! Mom and dad did not find out what they were having before she was born, so it was fun being able to pick out all the props for her session since there wasn't a previous color preference. I immediately gravitated towards my more rustic/wooden props, which turned out to be perfect since they have a barn on their property - and they even brought some barn wood to use during the session! It is beautiful, although not where near as gorgeous as miss Mallory! Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing little boy, Ben! He was a ROCKSTAR model and slept through his entire 3 hour session, yielding a huge gallery of images. Now that his wonderful family has had their gallery viewing, I'm excited to share more from his session with you! Now that this sweet girl's parents have had their gallery viewing, I'm so excited to show you more images from her session! Nora is BEAUTIFUL, just like her momma! And so lucky to have such wonderful parents and the best big brother ever! Little Liam just dotes over his sister and will be her protector growing up I'm sure. The day I was headed down for vacation with my family, I got a call from a local photog/friend in distraught. The mommy-and-me mini session she was supposed to have that evening got cancelled due to the overcast weather. So, after loading up the car, we booked it to the beach in torrential downpours, and got there before any rain made it. Although it was still overcast and no pretty sunset, I was greeted by these happy, smiling faces and knew it was going to be an awesome session. Just look how beautiful Megan is with her two adorable boys!! And their coordinating, not matchy-matchy, outfits were perfect! Being in landlocked PA, I have never done a shoot at the beach, but boy am I glad I did. The sand brings out the best in skin tones as there's no green color cast to content with. Hallelujah!! The beach has always been my happy place, and maybe we'll have to start taking extra long vacations just so I can book sessions down there. Anyone up for it next year?! ;) Oh sweet Benjamin, you are too cute! I know mom and dad are so happy you arrived early so they could start snuggling and kissing you. Welcome to the world little one! Photographers don't like to shoot mid-day unless it's overcast because the light is so harsh. Instead, we prefer what is known as the golden hour (an hour before sunset or an hour after sunrise). This time, however, is not always ideal when you have children that have early bedtimes or need help getting ready in the morning. So, I try to tweak it a bit and pretend that golden hour stretches for about 2-3 hours ;) On Sunday morning though, I couldn't have asked for a better "golden hour." My session with this sweet family started at 8am at a local nature preserve and converted barn. The sun provided us with enough light, without being too harsh. Combine that with 3 adorable kiddos and their parents and we ended up with a fabulous family session! Little Emily just turned a year old and has officially "graduated" from my baby plan. I've so enjoyed watching her grow and I hope to see her again in the future. Happy first birthday, Emily, and thank you to her parents for allowing me to capture all these special memories! Little Broderick, aka Brody, arrived just one day past his due date, on June 2. He came to see me at 1 week old and rocked his session! While I was editing, I was playing around with black and white and I fell in love. I had forgotten just how powerful a good B&W image can be! Thankfully, mom and dad liked them too! Of course, some just look better in color, especially when the color is bright and bold, but now I need to try to remember to include a few B&W into every newborn session. Photographing 3 week old twins, Eva and Nora, was so fun! It was incredible to see how easily they snuggled up to one another and were perfectly content to be side by side. And, their big sister, Violet, is just the best! I can already tell the three of them will have so much fun growing up together. A sister is a best friend for life! I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family at a new (for me) outdoor location in Glenmoore, PA yesterday evening. The weathermen couldn't make up their mind, first it was 40% chance of rain, then 0%, then 70%, then back to zero, so I was a bit worried we would get there and it would start raining, but boy am I glad that was not the case! Their little girl, Delaney, has the absolute best head of red hair and is beyond adorable! I would be happy to take this wonderful family's photographs any day and I will definitely be returning back to this location. Red barn doors, stone walls, tree lined paths, and goats - yes please! Even though his due date was in early May, this cutie pie just couldn't wait to be snuggled in his family's arms and decided to make his arrival on March 25, 2016. I'm so happy that I was given the opportunity to snuggle him as well, because he is just so sweet and adorable! And look at those big blue eyes! Here are some of mine and the mom's favorites from his session! Last week I had adorable Phoebe back into the studio for her 6 month session. (She's on my Watch Me Grow Plan) Phoebe has gotten so big since last time I saw her, but still just as cute! Although she wasn't really into me taking her picture, she was certainly a happy girl in mommy's arms!! And it all worked out because the images of them together in black and white are my favorite!! They are classic, timeless, and really show off the connection between mother and child. 2016 has truly been a year of boys, and I couldn't be happier! Every little boy I've photographed has been super adorable and most of them have been phenomenal sleepers, including this little one. Meet baby Shiv, 8 days old. He wins for the best head of hair and best lips!! He also wins for the funniest moment. Errrr, moments. See below- Each of my sessions start out with posed shots on the beanbag with usually 2 or 3 colors, then we move onto props, and end with family shots. Usually babies end up peeing or pooping at least once during the session, some much more. But, if they haven't gone by family shots, I forewarn the moms and dads that they are likely in the accident zone. Well, baby Shiv didn't want to prove me wrong, so he decide to leave mom a present, not once, not twice, but 3 times! And then again one more time on my rug while we were cleaning mom up. Each time it happened RIGHT after I got them both situated and stood up to take the picture. It was hysterical! So, instead of the one shot where mom, Ami, is laying on the ground with her hair out holding baby Shiv taking a couple of minutes, I think it took us well over a half an hour when all was said and done. But, as you will see, little Shiv TOTALLY made up for it by giving her smiles in the other pose. So, in the end, it was completely worth it!!!! Gosh, I love my job!!
