Last time I saw this adorable little guy, he was only 5 months old. Now look how big he is! That first year seriously goes by in the blink of an eye, and doesn't slow down!! Soak it all in, parents. Before you know it they will be off to kindergarden and then college. You want to remember all those little details and important milestones! Lucas LOVES Elmo, it was even his Halloween costume! So, what better way to celebrate than with a Sesame Street themed cake smash, complete with an adorable cake by The Kake Lady and all his favorite main characters. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUCAS!!! I hope your day was as wonderful and special as you are!

When I think of my childhood, I think of this girl, and it makes me smile! We've been friends since we were 12, which was *GASP!* 22 years ago!!! From sleepovers, to dance routines, boys, sports, and everything in between, she was always there. We went to different colleges and lived in different areas, but we still kept in touch and now I'm so excited she lives less than an hour away! I can't wait to meet her little one, affectionately called "Blip", and snuggle him/her!! Thanks for coming to hang out and being my model today Jess! I'm so thankful for your support but most of all, your friendship! You and Adam are going to make AMAZING parents! <3 <3 <3 Wow, it's been almost a month since my last blog post! YIKES! Clearly this busy season has gotten to me. But, being busy is a good thing! Especially when you get to fill your days photographing and editing memories for such exciting times in people's lives. Lisa and Chris are expecting baby #3 in January. They already have 2 little girls, Ava and Claire who are as cute as can be, and baby will be their first boy! I'm sure the girls will be such great helpers and will dote all over their little brother! I wish you all the best D family, as you bring your new bundle into the world! And Lisa - pregnancy looks amazing on you, you are just glowing! It's a GIRL!!! Meet McKinleigh Anne, born on October 28th. Weighing in at 9lbs, she is much smaller than her sister was at birth, but still has the most adorable chubby cheeks ever!!! And those rolls!! She was AMAZING for her session this morning, allowing me to pose her any which way without a peep. Sorry she was up for you all last night mom and dad, but she slept amazingly this morning! ;) Big sister Hadleigh, who you may remember from the shoot I did of her and her daddy, the police officer, is clearly smitten with the new baby! I can tell they are going to be the best of friends growing up and Hadleigh is going to be a great protector! He was such a good baby and especially loved being swaddled! When they arrived, dad immediately saw my little hockey stick and said he was a big sports fan and played hockey in school, so I made sure to incorporate that in his session. Judging by the smile on baby Joey's face, he is going enjoy hockey too! She is so full of personality and definitely knows what she likes and doesn't like, right mom?! And, what better way to celebrate a first birthday than with a cake smash! These sessions are always so much fun - and messy! Phoebe's favorite part was by far the bubble bath, but she was all smiles throughout the session. Special thanks to The Kake Lady for the AMAZING cake! Happy first birthday, Phoebe! I've been patiently awaiting the arrival of this little guy since I did his gorgeous mama's maternity session back in early August. Meet Elijah, aka baby Eli! Doesn't he have the cutest curly hair?! He was such a good baby for his session and even though he was awake after his feed, he was calm and fell back asleep within 10 minutes. Eli is on my Watch Me Grow plan and I can't wait to see him back again once he can sit and to celebrate his first birthday!! Sadly, I know those will be all too soon. Enjoy all the newborn baby snuggles now, mom and dad! Those lashes! <3 That hair! <3 Those rolls! <3 And that smile! <3 Yesterday morning adorable Isabelle, her fabulous big sister Sofia, and wonderful parents came into the studio for Isabelle's newborn session. She was ready to go and was a great little model! Mom even brought in a bunch of her own props from one of my favorite vendors - The Tiny Blessings Boutique. Check out some sneak peeks from the session below. Every newborn session I am prepared with props and a flow that I follow. However, I never know what the baby entering my door is going to feel like doing on any given day. When sweet Todd came in this morning, half awake, I was a bit worried. But, after a few minutes of snuggling him in the warm room with both the sound machine and baby shusher going, he fell into a deep sleep and ROCKED his session! Todd is one loved little boy, and I know he and big brother Oliver are going to be great buddies! You can already tell how much Oliver adores his new baby. And, mom and dad too! ;) Pants, wrap, and bonnets from The Tiny Blessings Boutique Curly felted layers from Ababa Baby Props It's Friday, but I'm feeling a bit grumpy. Nothing has gone right today and I just want to curl in bed and sleep until December (when busy season is over...hopefully!) BUT, since I can't do that, I turned to editing this sweet face. How on earth can one possibly be grumpy when looking at this cutie pie! This is one the parts of my job that I love best - seeing my littlest LBP clients grow up! I vividly remember Keira's newborn session and how tiny and perfect and what an excellent sleeper she was. Now look how big she's gotten! Babies change SO rapidly in the first year of life, that I really think it's important to capture all those details and milestones (and not just on iPhone photos, although something is better than nothing!). Now Keira can sit independently and crawl! I love seeing progress! But, I also love to see what things remain - and Keira's chubby cheeks, long eyelashes, and dimples have certainly stayed! <3 <3 <3 This morning I had an absolutely adorable baby girl into the studio. She was such a great little model and I enjoyed each and every cuddle in between poses. Welcome to the world, Brielle! Sweet Weston is the third baby boy born into his family. And I am sure their hearts are overflowing with love for their newest addition! I mean, look at how perfect and adorable he is! I have no doubt that he and his brothers will be best friends and get into all kinds of trouble together! Thanks for coming to visit and pose for me this morning Mr. Weston! Oh Abigail, how sweet you are! I'm so glad I had the chance to capture these memories and little details for your parents. You are too perfect for words! I can't believe another one of my babies have graduated from my Watch Me Grow plan! I really do love being able to see the progression they make in just a short year, it really is incredible! Mom said she wanted a garden theme for Lily's cake smash, so garden she got. Complete with loads of fresh flowers and an adorable bonnet from Violet's Playground! Happy first birthday, Lily! Mallory was another one of my superstar July babies! Mom and dad did not find out what they were having before she was born, so it was fun being able to pick out all the props for her session since there wasn't a previous color preference. I immediately gravitated towards my more rustic/wooden props, which turned out to be perfect since they have a barn on their property - and they even brought some barn wood to use during the session! It is beautiful, although not where near as gorgeous as miss Mallory! Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing little boy, Ben! He was a ROCKSTAR model and slept through his entire 3 hour session, yielding a huge gallery of images. Now that his wonderful family has had their gallery viewing, I'm excited to share more from his session with you! Now that this sweet girl's parents have had their gallery viewing, I'm so excited to show you more images from her session! Nora is BEAUTIFUL, just like her momma! And so lucky to have such wonderful parents and the best big brother ever! Little Liam just dotes over his sister and will be her protector growing up I'm sure. Oh sweet Benjamin, you are too cute! I know mom and dad are so happy you arrived early so they could start snuggling and kissing you. Welcome to the world little one! Did you know that Nathan was my very first newborn client a year ago? I just can't believe how fast time has gone, and I know his parents can't either! This little cutie has gotten so big and even more adorable, if that's even possible! He is such a happy baby, and definitely loved his cake (made from scratch by mom and perfectly matched the set-up)! Nathan has gone down in my record book as best cake smasher ever, and I'm not sure if anyone can top this - just look at that mess! I LOVE it! |
