Every newborn session I am prepared with props and a flow that I follow. However, I never know what the baby entering my door is going to feel like doing on any given day. When sweet Todd came in this morning, half awake, I was a bit worried. But, after a few minutes of snuggling him in the warm room with both the sound machine and baby shusher going, he fell into a deep sleep and ROCKED his session! Todd is one loved little boy, and I know he and big brother Oliver are going to be great buddies! You can already tell how much Oliver adores his new baby. And, mom and dad too! ;) Pants, wrap, and bonnets from The Tiny Blessings Boutique Curly felted layers from Ababa Baby Props

Seriously. Do not look at these images if you don't want to smile. I'm warning you. Little Luke's smile is completely contagious!! And I LOVE it!! <3 <3 <3 He may have been a bit grumpy for the first 5 minutes after we woke him up for pictures this morning, but that was it. As soon as he warmed up, Luke was all smiles and such a ham! I can't believe this little guy was in the studio a mere 7 months ago. Now look at him! It's Friday, but I'm feeling a bit grumpy. Nothing has gone right today and I just want to curl in bed and sleep until December (when busy season is over...hopefully!) BUT, since I can't do that, I turned to editing this sweet face. How on earth can one possibly be grumpy when looking at this cutie pie! This is one the parts of my job that I love best - seeing my littlest LBP clients grow up! I vividly remember Keira's newborn session and how tiny and perfect and what an excellent sleeper she was. Now look how big she's gotten! Babies change SO rapidly in the first year of life, that I really think it's important to capture all those details and milestones (and not just on iPhone photos, although something is better than nothing!). Now Keira can sit independently and crawl! I love seeing progress! But, I also love to see what things remain - and Keira's chubby cheeks, long eyelashes, and dimples have certainly stayed! <3 <3 <3 I am so happy to call this family, friends! I love everything about them and am so thankful they drove hours to come see me this morning for a shoot. They are all beautiful, inside and out, and tons of fun! I hope our kids can grow up close despite the distance between us. I'm also glad both sets of grandparents were involved because when Eli and Owen are older, they will cherish each and every picture they have with their family members. This morning I had an absolutely adorable baby girl into the studio. She was such a great little model and I enjoyed each and every cuddle in between poses. Welcome to the world, Brielle! Sweet Weston is the third baby boy born into his family. And I am sure their hearts are overflowing with love for their newest addition! I mean, look at how perfect and adorable he is! I have no doubt that he and his brothers will be best friends and get into all kinds of trouble together! Thanks for coming to visit and pose for me this morning Mr. Weston! Although our session was rained out last Thursday due to the weather, we were able to reschedule this for Labor Day, and it definitely made for a fun morning! Little Charlie is celebrating turning 3, and preparing to be a big sister! Her brother Jack is due at the end of the month. We met at Springton Manor farm, which really has some gorgeous land, and a variety of animals for the kids. The goats were SUPER friendly, one even smiled right at the camera! Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful couple from Philadelphia as they prepare for their baby girl. The golden hour light (<3 those natural sun flares!!) was simply perfect, and they were so easy-going and sweet, that it just made for amazing and enjoyable session! I cannot wait to photograph their little girl, who is due in about 4 weeks! I know she will be as beautiful as her momma and surrounded with love! Amelia is off to new adventures! She is celebrating her official adoption, moving to Maine, and becoming a teenager shortly. She is smart, kind, beautiful both inside and out, and will do amazing things in her life - I just know it. I wish you all the best Amelia and I hope to see you and your wonderful family again in the future! Oh Abigail, how sweet you are! I'm so glad I had the chance to capture these memories and little details for your parents. You are too perfect for words! I get to see Phoebe every few months for her Watch Me Grow sessions and she always amazes me with what she has learned since the last time! Unfortunately we didn't get to do a 9 month session due to her being sick, so we did a 10 month, beach/summer-themed session. And this time, not only can she crawl, but she can also stand independently for a bit! I'm sure she will be walking before her cake smash in 2 short months. I also learned that she is a true water baby! Forget about dresses, outfits, and set-ups, she was happiest playing in the water! Now that sweet little Alice's prints, products, and digitals have been delivered, I'm excited to share with you some more from her newborn session! She comes from a long line of knitters, so see if you can spot the handmade blankets from her grandmothers! I LOVE my job! I know I say it at least once a day, but I really do! And getting to snuggle 2 babies at once = heaven! I know mom and dad are so thankful for these 2 adorable nuggets and I am grateful that they trusted me to capture these memories for them. Welcome to the world Nicholas and Michael! I can't believe another one of my babies have graduated from my Watch Me Grow plan! I really do love being able to see the progression they make in just a short year, it really is incredible! Mom said she wanted a garden theme for Lily's cake smash, so garden she got. Complete with loads of fresh flowers and an adorable bonnet from Violet's Playground! Happy first birthday, Lily! Mallory was another one of my superstar July babies! Mom and dad did not find out what they were having before she was born, so it was fun being able to pick out all the props for her session since there wasn't a previous color preference. I immediately gravitated towards my more rustic/wooden props, which turned out to be perfect since they have a barn on their property - and they even brought some barn wood to use during the session! It is beautiful, although not where near as gorgeous as miss Mallory! AHHH! I have been DYING to share these images of sweet Adam! I wasn't allowed to share originally because mom and dad had family they wanted to show first as a surprise, but I'm so excited that I finally can now! Mr. Adam, with his ADORABLE hairdo, not only went camping, as I showed in his sneak peeks, but also fishing, on a milk and Oreo binge, and did some Crossfit! No wonder he was tired and sleepy! Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing little boy, Ben! He was a ROCKSTAR model and slept through his entire 3 hour session, yielding a huge gallery of images. Now that his wonderful family has had their gallery viewing, I'm excited to share more from his session with you! It was so nice going back to the neighborhood where we used to live to photograph this adorable (and tiny!) 1 week old baby boy. He was one of the calmest awake babies I've ever photographed, although thankfully he did sleep through most of the session. I love sleepy poses, but never mind if they are awake and calm. I love seeing those eyes too! Grant is clearly adored and well loved by his family and he recently gained an extra guardian angel to watch over him as he grows. Grant, you will do amazing things in your life, I just know it! <3 Now that this sweet girl's parents have had their gallery viewing, I'm so excited to show you more images from her session! Nora is BEAUTIFUL, just like her momma! And so lucky to have such wonderful parents and the best big brother ever! Little Liam just dotes over his sister and will be her protector growing up I'm sure. The day I was headed down for vacation with my family, I got a call from a local photog/friend in distraught. The mommy-and-me mini session she was supposed to have that evening got cancelled due to the overcast weather. So, after loading up the car, we booked it to the beach in torrential downpours, and got there before any rain made it. Although it was still overcast and no pretty sunset, I was greeted by these happy, smiling faces and knew it was going to be an awesome session. Just look how beautiful Megan is with her two adorable boys!! And their coordinating, not matchy-matchy, outfits were perfect! Being in landlocked PA, I have never done a shoot at the beach, but boy am I glad I did. The sand brings out the best in skin tones as there's no green color cast to content with. Hallelujah!! The beach has always been my happy place, and maybe we'll have to start taking extra long vacations just so I can book sessions down there. Anyone up for it next year?! ;) |
